For my Master’s degree in Library Science, I took a children’s literature class that focused on how to write book reviews for libraries. Each student created their own blogs to post their book reviews. Here’s the link to mine.
One of the books we reviewed was a poetry book for children, Mirror Mirror: A Book of Reversible Verse by Marilyn Singer. In it, the author suggests readers try to write a reverso poem on their own.
I took this challenge, and found it very enjoyable to do! This can be a fun activity for kids, though they may wish to write short poems at first. Here is the poem I wrote after reading this book:
