Oh, Give Me a Home

The adventure of a lifetime
Begins with a single step
At the end of the rainbow
Over there
Far, far away
Where it all started
Beyond a shadow of a doubt
You see
Just what you’ve always wanted
On the horizon
Coming straight at you
Like a bad dream
You asked for it
So don’t act so surprised
You knew what you were getting into
Was like a dream come true
But it was intended for someone else.

Except for the last line, each line in the poem is a common expression I’ve heard a million times before.

My poem “Say That Again!” is also written this way.
