Puddling Petals

Petals pooling at his feet
Loves me, loves me not
Raining fragrance
Velvet caresses for the greening dirt
Delicate leaves falling like ashes
Longing for her
Tiny buds to full blooms
Increasing desire
All for her
The gray stone marks the place
Wasting away roses
To hear her natural answer
Her only response now
Pretending the breeze is her touch
Covering the truth in red wishes.
