The Advance of Wind

I watched the rains last night
Coming down quietly outside
Sky hid in murky blackness
By daring clouds
Wind followed the rains closely
His heavy feet shaking the world with every step
Coldness moved along with them
Advancing without fear
Overpowering the weak warmth abiding here
Forcing her into an early retirement
Then wind hung up his cloak
In his new home
Dismissed the rains
To attack elsewhere
And he settled in for a long winter.
