Unbreakable Sheets

Pounding the rooftops
Glazing the streets
Harshly it falls
In unbreakable sheets.
Chilling the air
The wind blows
Picking up speed
As it flows.
See it falling
Hear its sound
It’s gently calling
The tortured ground.
Listen more closely
Feel its beat
A heart throbbing
Not admitting defeat.
Cries break out
It is diminished
A dying shout
And it’s finished.
