Note: Stargate SG-1 was an amazing science fiction television series that ran for 10 years (1997-2007). It was based on the movie Stargate, and they did a few movies after the series ended as well. I loved this show and had a little trouble letting go, so I wrote this as a tribute to it. It’s set to the tune “We Didn’t Start the Fire” by Billy Joel. This instrumental version of the song is the closest one to the original song I could find, in that it keeps the tempo and cadences correct. I’m posting it so you can read these lyrics along to the tune. I hope you enjoy this!

I claim no rights to the show or song. I loved both and just wanted to pay tribute to them with this piece. I’m posting this so any fans of the show who run across my website may have the opportunity to enjoy it now, and fondly recall a brilliant series.
